Wolf Lake Airport

A large airpark with one asphalt and one grass runway adjoining Wolf Lake, so there's also a seaplane base. It's about half way between Palmer and Wasilla if you take the pretty route.

We paid a quick visit on 8 May, mainly to see the Fairchild C-123. Its restoration is coming along gently, and it's lovely and shiny, and being outdoors on a sunny day, is even shinier than Patches at the USAF Museum at Dayton.
